Between the years 1920 and 1936, the 2nd Bn of the
XX were on a continuous overseas posting to various parts of India.
John Thomas Rees joined them in 1921 at Nowshera and left them in 1928 at Wellington. In the past I have often been confused by seeing "Wellington" on discharge documents and presumed it to be Wellington Barracks Bury. It is in fact Wellington in India.
