The Mortar Platoon trip St Helens Click
on photo to enlarge We are four Lads that shared the same mortar platoon
bunk at Erskin Camp , Hong Kong forty years ago . The four present are
Cpl. Johnny Ledwith. L/Cpl "Chunky" Moore, L/Cpl "FUB" Parker,
and myself L/Cpl Duggan . Missing are Eddie Edwards (deseased) , Dave Reid
(deceased) and L/Cpl "Smudge" Smith , (Geordie) Battalion reserve goalkeeper
. Gibbo couldn't make it (he's in swimming trunks somewhere again) in
the 3rd photo Bill Duggan and The "chap in the cap" is Bernard Thresher
of the LANCASHIRE HOTPOTS . This very funny folk band
were brilliantly funny at The St Helens Citadel (arts centre) |
