The Museum Appeal
An appeal is underway to raise money towards a new museum for the Lancashire Fusiliers and the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers. Every contribution counts!

The Shop
Find a list of the items sold in our museum shop, and details of how to place an order.

The Museum Collection
The collection is rich in silver, weapons, costume, works of art, regimental regalia, personal memorabilia, trophies taken from enemies and gifts from friends. It contains items from all over the world, and most notably, material related to General Wolfe and Napoleon.

History
Since the Regiment was raised in 1688 as “Peyton’s Own’, the Lancashire Fusiliers’ history has been a colorful and glorious one. After amalgamation with three other Fusilier Regiments in 1968 to form the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, the story has continued with world-wide involvement in both conflict and peace-keeping. Find a Timeline and 'Hall Of Fame' on the history page.

The New Museum
The new museum will open in the spring of 2009 in the former Arts & Crafts Centre in Bury. The XX Lancashire Fusilier Collection will be redisplayed alongside the growing collection of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers. The new displays will be modern, interactive and user friendly.

Friends
A Friends group has been formed to support the Collections and the Arts & Crafts Centre. If you are interested in preserving the heritage of the Lancashire Fusiliers, the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers or the Arts & Crafts centre you are invited to join.
