The Web Sites Remembrance Day Farewell to Wellington Barracks and Blessing of our new LF Standard
The DVD is the parade at Wellington Barracks a video of the whole parade and Blessing of the Standard it is about 20 minutes long and also included are 230 photos taken of the Dinner the night before, the Bury Parade, the parade at the Barracks, and in the club afterwards it is about 45 minutes long in total. It has been put together by David Parkes (Larry Parkes) son, He has given his time and efforts free and all the monies will go to the site funds it is £10 including postage.

Remember this is part of the History of the Lancashire Fusiliers and may be the last parade ever held at Wellington Barracks as it is now.

Trieste 1954 and Weeton Camp 1967
DVD sale,£10 including post & packing

This is a DVD of three films ,two taken in Trieste in 1954 and one taken in Weeton Camp Blackpool in 1967.

The first film features The Loyal North Lancashire Regiment and the 2nd Bn Lancashire Fusiliers during the evacuation of Trieste(operation Trapper) and their subsequent arrival in Malta.

The second is a film of the visit by HMS Bermuda to Trieste in 1954,featuring the 2nd Bn Lancashire Fusiliers trooping the Colour,Royal Marines,The Loyals Band,etc.

The third film is in colour of the 1st battalion The XXth The Lancashire Fusiliers Trooping the Colours for the last time in the UK before disbanding the following year.The parade was at the ex RAF Camp at Weeton near Blackpool

Many close ups of the soldiers plus the Aircraft Carrier HMS Centaur,The Frigate HMS Whirlwind,The Frigate HMS Loch Insh.HMS Bermuda,Amphibious LCMs,Amphibious Ramped Cargo lighters,etc,etc.

Good footage of Major General Sir John Winterton,Major General Daunt,GOC Malta,Trieste Harbour,Pinto,Vehicles being loaded onto ships,etc,etc.

All set to suitable military background music.

A "Must" for militaria rare footage collectors .

DVD of Photos from the site for those who do not have a Computer

The Middle East , Germany , British Guiana, Cyprus, Hong Kong.
To help towards the rising costs of running the site, we have compiled a Slide show of over 300 photographs featured on the site.

Now you can show the photographs to relatives and friends who cannot get access to a computer.
Suitable background music of the time and place accompanies the five groups of pictures.

The groups include;

1. The Middle East (Aqaba, Egypt),
2. Germany (Iserlohn & Osnabruck),
3. British Guiana,
4. Cyprus,
5. Hong Kong.

It is available in the following 3 formats:- VCD, DVD, & VHS Video. Please indicate your choice.

The DVD & VCD versions are interactive, and you can select from a menu what you want to view, and skip forward & backward at will.(I mean the disk, not you personally).

I have also produced a VHS video version, which runs for approx 45 mins.

Now available in DVD and Video formates
Dennis Laverick has kindly agreed to put together on one 3 hour tape a collection of Lancashire Fusiliers 8mm films and old tapes.The result is an historically important record of our beloved Regiment dating from 1959 to the present day.There are 9 different events chronologically listed as follows:-
1.New Standard Minden Day RHQ Bury 1990.
2.St George's Day Parade 2RRF 1988.
3.Gallipoli Tercentenary Bury 1988.
4.Remembrance Sunday Bury 1981.
5.2RRF training in Canada 1972.
6.LFs at Jungle Warfare School Khota Tingi Malaya 1968.
7.1LF changing to become 4RRF Ceremonial Parade Hong Kong 1968.
8.LFs on Chinese Border Hong Kong 1967.
9.Minden Bicentenery Cyprus 1959.

Some of the material is not of a very high quality,it has been transferred from various sources,but it is fascinating none the less.
The DVD is packed with characters and comrades from recent years.
Many(far too many)of the faces you will spot,either on parade or in the crowd,are no longer with us.I am so glad we have them captured forever on this DVD.
The cost is £10 per copy including postage to a UK address(overseas buyers please ask for postage rates)
