Once a Fusilier always a Fusilier
1st Bn Lancashire Fusiliers
3rd Bn Royal Regiment of Fusiliers
Today at 1130 am we held the cremation of my brother Roy,in attendance was the three standards along with over thirty of his fusilier family, and they did the regiment proud , I can speak for Roys children and for my sister, nephews and nieces when I say a very big heartfelt thank you to them all,
It was not a sad day although the memories rolled down my cheeks on occasion, and through the generous donations instead of flowers to the fusilier aid society some £130.00 was generously given to this very worthwhile society.
Today we creamated only the body of my brother, his spirit lives on in our hearts and minds and through the memories of Roy each of us who had the pleasure to know him will see to it that his spirit lives on.
rest in peace my brother,
Cpl Roy Tooth,1941-2015. Oafaaf.
