 "A most unusual pic,believed to be the only time that the Officers of 3 line Battalions of the same Regiment have been pictured together. They are the 1st,2nd and 3rd Bns of the XXth the Lancashire Fusiliers. The pic is undated, but by careful reading and noting that they are wearing black armbands,I have come to the opinion that this pic was taken shortly after the death of Queen Victoria in January 1901. |

In November 2011 I spotted this 3rd Bn Lancashire
Fusiliers dog blanket for sale on Ebay.
The 3rd Bn remained in the UK throughout WW1 and this dog was their mascot. I am currently asking the museum for funding to buy it ,the owner has promised to hold on to it until I can get the funding.
