BUY A BRICK FOR PERPETUITY AND POSTERITY

The Fusiliers' Museum Appeal 'Buy a Brick' Project is an imaginative scheme and well designed initiative, offering for sale the commodity of bricks which are defined in an outer wall of the new museum, adjacent
to Gallipoli Gardens and divided into Zones and Sections for easy recognition. There are eleven Zones in all, which are sub divided into four Sections each section containing 220 bricks.
Each brick has a value of £10.00 and may be purchased independently
or collectively from the 'Museum. Should you not he able to visit then please telephone our The Museum (0161 763 8950) and leave your details, after which a member of staff will call you and offer assistance.
The method of payment is by cash or cheque made out to 'Fusiliers' Museum Appeal'. You will receive an official receipt for all money donated to the project and a 'Commemoration Certificate'. You will have your own views on a 'Commemoration', the following may he considered worthwhile incentives. Births, Marriages, Loss of loved ones, .Special Events including Silver, Pearl, Ruby, Golden and Diamond Weddings or any other significant feature of your life.

 

To clarify a little about what the scheme is and how it works.
For £10.00 you will be able to purchase a notional brick in the wall of the museum,and to have recorded on the Museum Computer your choice of message to a maximum of 30 words.
So let's say for example you send off your £10.00 and you specify that you would like the following on your brick;-
"Fus T Atkins 9 Pl C Coy 1LF Egypt 1950"
Or perhaps:-
" Alice Violet Eastwood,grandaughter of Viv and Joe Eastwood born Cambridge 1338 hrs 25th October 2006"
This message will be entered on the computer and allocated a brick number.
You will get back a lovely scroll certificate telling you that your brick number is ...... .
Anytime in the future,you or your descendants will be able to go in to the museum,enter your brick number and read your message.
A lovely simple way to leave a message for the future and at the same time supporting the new museum financially.
